The length of time between the bins being changed is now becoming detrimental to our homes and Borough.  I have never heard so many people complaining about rats, which are naturally being brought around by the excess rubbish lying around.  Fruit flies are everywhere at the moment, its disgusting.  Whilst I can understand that we cannot totally eradicate all pests, in this day and age we should not be living in our own filth! I am living in a 2 person household and we split all our rubbish but still can't cope, i have no idea how large families are coping! Its time we all stood together to say this isn't right!  I am not asking for anything excessive, just every other week.  In the month of September, my black bin is only scheduled to be changed once! ONCE!  No wonder there is such and abundance of fly tipping going on, which is leaving the streets in a nasty state, again attracting more rats. Also with lockdown, more people have been staying at home, therefore producing more rubbish.  People are opting for staying in rather than going out because they can't afford to and we must address this need for more bin collections.  I cant even believe I have to write a petition just to ask you not to leave us wallowing in filth!
