To many accidents on castle hill road, Hindley, Wigan part of the A58 I know of at least two fatalities and one of which I witnessed, also speed related road traffic accidents, people use this road like a speed track and there are a lot of vulnerable people in the community including children and old age pensioners who don’t have the time or reactions to get across the road safely. I have witnessed at least 7 incidents in the last 6 months including drink drivers, hit and run, vehicle collisions and 90% have been due to speed so something has to be done. From the boarder of westhoughton and Hindley on this road is to easy for motorists to accelerate at great speeds and the proof is in the statistics we have noticed a reduction from 40 to 30 mph but this doesn’t stop those individuals still speeding, we have a primary school yards from this area one of which my son attends and god for bud anything is to happen to a young child. Imagine walking to school with your child like another normal day and come home without them it needs to be sorted
