I don't want to go beyond the scope of this article. Therefore I will keep it short. After my husband (Lucas) and I found out that the borders will open again in March we did everything to get our visas. On the 1st of March we came to the Düsseldorf consulate and were sent away directly because we had no work contracts. We were assured by the embassy in Berlin that this was not necessary and it was clarified that we could apply there. However, the lady at the counter saw it differently and started yelling that we should leave. After a very long discussion, She took our applications with the threat that "you will be rejected". And she made sure of that almost 2 months later. My application was approved, but my husband's almost identical application was denied. In addition, he got a 6 month ban. The other consulates could not help us, even though they were shocked. That is why I would like to turn to the Consul General. But one person alone is not important enough. My voice will not be heard. I ask you to support us.
