Kyle Rutherford started this petition to Whole Foods and

Put the "super " back in supermarkets!

In the 1970's and early 80's, supermarkets used to play music that was as fresh as their produce.  It was light, breezy, safe, unsuspecting and yet at the same time, catchy... Like a Nintendo entertainment system video game.

The music found in these stores today has become nothing but the garbage of modern top 40 hits.  If that's how you get your jollies, that's your business. But not unlike one's sexual proclivities or opinions on religious affairs, it should stay confined to more private arenas such as one's personal motor vehicle or motor home.

We, the undersigned politely request that the aforementioned foodstuffs retailers bring back the sort of music found in "Sounds For The Supermarket", the 1975 album production from a Minnesota based communications company and can be found under the same title on YouTube.
