In the 1985 film “The Last Dragon”, the main character Leroy Green got the glow and the girl. Who is Sho’Nuff? Where did he come from? Where did he learn martial arts? How did he become the “Shogun of Harlem”? 

We want a film that answers these burning questions about one of the most memorable villains of all time. A film that not only speaks to the pressures urban youth face, but explores the nuanced relationship between martial arts and the black community. A film that shows how a lack of guidance, love, and discipline leads to destruction.

Should this film get the green light, it could generate a conversations about the need for more positive role models, and adequate funding for community centers and after school programs for inner city youth.
