Gillian Craig started this petition to Whitecraigs Lawn & Tennis Club

As you will be aware from the recent communication from Whitecraigs Tennis Club a decision has been taken arbitrarily to terminate Method Tennis (Dan & Zoe) notwithstanding Dan & Zoe’s (& their coaches) incredibly hard work with the juniors (increasing junior membership from approx 50 to approx 200). Senior coaching was also part of Method Tennis’ contract until the club unilaterally decided to remove that from their contract in the summer.

We feel that such termination is not in the interests of members or the Club.

Method Tennis are undoubtedly amongst the best coaches Whitecraigs has ever had the benefit of, are hugely respected and have shown huge commitment to the juniors, seniors (where the club has allowed) and indeed the club- they’re out in all weather, at all hours, and do loads behind the scenes- and are desperately keen to continue to do so - but need our support. Please therefore sign the petition on your behalf (if a member) & on behalf of junior members in your family. Please also email the club to make your views known!

We, the undernoted being (or representing) members of Whitecraigs Lawn Tennis & Sports Club (‘the Club’) are of the view that in terminating the contract of Method Tennis, the tennis committee (& Club) has wholly failed to take account of or represent the interests of the Club and our interests as members. We hereby call upon the Club (whether acting via committee or otherwise) to withdraw any notice of termination served such that the contract between Method Tennis and the Club is reinstated as regards junior and (if possible) adult coaching for a period of at least 6 months (unless sooner terminated by either party in terms thereof and for good & justifiable reasons which represent the interests of the members).
