At the Otamatea Reserve dog park there are 2 exists to main roads which have high levels of traffic. Being a dog park, owners want to let their fur babies run free with friends but they are always concerned about their dogs safety if they let them off lead. Dogs should be able run free off lead.  So if there were gates on both entrances owner wouldn't have to worry. Being the only dog park in Whanganui, there should be more safety for our fur babies and less stress for the owners.
