Dear Friends and Neighbors:
Another Planning & Zoning Meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, April 19th, 7pm at Town Hall, Room 203 to continue the discussion on proposals for marijuana dispensaries in Westport.
The Planning and Zoning Committee will hear applications regarding the following locations:
- 345 Post Road West (currently Westport Academy of Dance)
- 1505 Post Road East (corner of Post Road and Maple Avenue, currently DXL)
- 833 Post Road East, (formerly Bertucci's restaurant)
- New proposal at 1460 Post Road East (currently Coco Nail Spa)
- New proposal at 1803 Post Road East (currently Jennifer Convertibles)
WHAT YOU CAN DO
1. WRITE TO P&Z
If you have not already, please write a note to the Planning and Zoning Committee (PandZ@westportct.gov ) expressing your disapproval. Your letter must be SITE SPECIFIC itemizing why each of these respective locations are unsuitable. If any single site does not have letters in protest, it is viewed as being endorsed in that location. As taxing as it may be, please take the time to write specifically why each site is objectionable.
Please CC us or shoot us a note with "I wrote to P&Z" in the subject line. It will allow us to have a record of the public opposition. We promise we will not share or disseminate your email to anyone else and we will keep the fact that you wrote to P & Z confidential. Our address is: CommonSenseWestport@gmail.com
2. ATTEND THE P&Z HEARING, THURSDAY, APRIL 19TH 7PM
3. SPREAD THE WORD
Thank you again for your time.
