Kevin Rankin started this petition to WestJet

Westjet made a public announcement that they were refunding customers from March and April of 2020.

I was told by them that if I booked through a travel agent that I had to contact them for my refund (I used Flight Center). I called Flight Center and inquired with them, they said they had to call Westjet to find out path forward. Once that was complete they called me back to inform me that I met all the criteria for a refund but one key piece. My trip needed to be cancelled by Westjet 45 days prior to my departure.

My trip was scheduled to depart on March 28, 2020, so in order for it to be refunded it would of had to be canceled on February 13, 2020. The WHO never declared a Pandemic until March 11, 2020.

Westjet did not cancel flights until March 17, 2020, if they are not refunding flights or vacations until 45 days after that, then that means no one is eligible until May 1, 2020 for which their announcement indicated they were busy working through March and April of 2020.

Here is a partial screen shot from their site https://www.westjet.com/en-ca/prepare/covid/refunds:

"WestJet Vacations
Guests who are eligible for a refund to original form of payment, due to a WestJet Vacation cancelled by WestJet, will be contacted.

We’ve started to proactively reach out to guests with Vacations cancelled by WestJet starting with departure dates in March through to April 24 and will be working forward. Please wait to be contacted as we work through requests as quickly as possible.
Booked through a third-party?
If you booked through a Travel Agent (online or directly), third-party like Expedia or Airmiles, Corporate Travel arranger, or another airline, please contact them directly."

I demand that Westjet be truthful and explain to the people who have not received a refund and return their hard earned money.
