As a student body we are creating this petition to allow other students from Westerville City Schools to be able to come to Westerville North’s homecoming. This is a very important matter because Seniors as well as many other students from different grades are in relationships from different schools. And if these students from different schools can’t attend, many seniors won’t go, and yet again this another tradition stripped away from another graduating class. We are already taking the precautions of moving the dance outside and still wearing masks. We have already allowed for COVID to strip away many important life experiences from our high school students. However the concern for our students’ health is valid. But we are implementing safety precautions. COVID has already taken a great toll on our students’ mental health, so why wouldn’t we try to help decrease the stress and pain this pandemic has caused? Why can’t the students of Westerville City Schools share one last memory together before the class of 2022 graduates? We hope every person reading this can support us and help us stop COVID from stealing another important life encounter from our Westerville students. Thank you for reading.
