Despite the icy roads and dangerous conditions outside recently, the superintendent did not cancel school. I was sliding around while driving and almost got into an accident. In my first hour class, 12 of the 26 students were missing. Almost every other school near us closed, and we should have been closed as well. Just because the superintendent is from the U.P. and thinks that it’s not too bad doesn’t mean we should have to deal with this. This is unacceptable, the safety of hundreds of students is being put on the line just for a couple days of school. Because of this, we are demanding the resignation of the superintendent and those involved in this careless decision. If you have read this do understand, it’s an opinion and therefore can not be punishable by the school. Don’t be afraid, you have us on your side. Fight for the safety of all students at Western High.
