Hi friends. 
My peers and I have been talking lately, and I hope you can agree with where we are coming from. 
Overtime, I have, and others have found lots of things wrong with “Westerly public schools” demand, rules, criteria and the way we have been managing covid. 
So many things have been going wrong, from the penalization of students who have learning disabilities who need to take walks, to stressful amount and pileup of work, to lack of care for students mental and physical health, to not letting our voices be heard. I feel as though, westerly is one of the most watered down and boring public school of them all. Typical stereotype. Not cozy. Not homelike. Students and past students have literally and blatantly described school as “the jail cell” to me, and my other peers. It is. It really is. They cannot possibly take more from us. 
Its the little things they could do, from letting us take votes on things that happen in school, so we have a chance for our voice and open mind to be stated, to be out there, instead of letting the “PTO” and faculty members always getting the final say. It’s from the simple things like blocking images, and websites and educational videos from chrome books and other campus computers when we’re in Highschool. HIGHSCHOOL. I cant even get on Spotify or half the videos or links my teachers recommend me to watch, because their blocked. BLOCKED. Mind you so many miles down the road Chariho Highschool, gives their kids MacBooks with no guardian or parental controls on them. Think about that, again. Loss of trust for us on our side I guess. 
Concluding, if you have any other issues or concerns brought up, please comment something that makes your education at westerly more complicated.
