The proposed seven and eight storey buildings are completly out of scale with the rest of Ambleside and will ruin our village character. Furthermore a redevelopment consistent with zoning permitted elsewhere in Ambleside (AC1/2: 14.3 meter height and 1.75 floor area ratio density maximums) will still achieve everything the proposed development promises, but would just be on a smaller, more human, scale. The sooner the current development proposal is rejected the sooner a more appropriate development can be designed and built.
