A pedestrian crossing on Queen Eleanor Road outside Queen Eleanor Primary School

A pedestrian crossing on Queen Eleanor Road outside Queen Eleanor Primary School
Road safety, safer parking travel and access to and from primary schools in the area should be a priority. Ensuring safe routes not only keeps people safe but encourages walking as part of our active travel commitments.
There is no designated crossing outside of the primary school and many residents have commented that having a designated safe crossing point would make those attending school and other residents feel safer when crossing this road.
We want to make sure that serious incidents are avoided rather than reacted too and people can be kept safe from harm. People feel encouraged by safe access to engage in active travel and better crossing points may encourage more walking to school.
We are asking the local authority to investigate further the potential for a pedestrian crossing on Queen Eleanor Road
