Nikki Rohde Smart started this petition to West Liberty Foods and

Petition Summary/Background:

·       Business Poses Risk for fire/explosion and possession/storage of hazard materials.

·       Safety concerns regarding employees trespassing through private property of neighborhood at ALL hours of day and night. Despite continuous complains to West Liberty with reassurances from West Liberty Employees that it would stop. The surrounding homes alone have 20+ small children residing in them.

·       Health concern about littering of used masks, gloves, hair nets, and any other miscellaneous waste.  The current state of the property line is atrocious with hazardous waste items, despite being cleaned two weeks ago.

·       Snow removal of the parking lot has continuously infringed on our property.  We fear our landscaping will continue to be damaged (trees).

·     Safety concerns due to children being approached by employees on private property or being yelled at at demined from the parking lot of West Liberty Foods.

·     Vehicle headlights being shown in residents windows during the night and employees playing loud music at all hours of the night.

Action petitioned for :

We the surrounding neighborhood/property owners request the following:

·       An external alarm system to notify surrounding homes in case of emergency/evacuation (such as the fire on Friday October 2nd, 2020)

·       A solid non-flammable barrier wall along the west property line to separate residential properties from Lineage and West Liberty Properties. This will take care of issues related to hazardous materials entering our neighborhood (used face masks, gloves, and hair nets), trespassing of employees on private property, and potential damage caused by snow removal.  This wall would also help protect our property from any possible fire related emergencies.
