West Bromwich Albion FC to complete statue of the Three Degrees.

With the sad news of the passing of Cyrille Regis a statue that is £50k short of completion that will serve as a mark of rememberance of Cyrille Regis, Laurie Cunningham and Brendan Batson who where nicknamed the three degrees. At a time when racism was strong West Bromwich Albion stood up and under management of Ron Atkinson fielded the first 3 black footballers in the same team in the top flight. These men against regular abuse from the terraces followed their dreams and forever changed the face of football. We believe that West Bromwich Albion football club should pay the remaining 50k to have the statue completed and offer to have sited at the Hawthorns to remind the supporters and visitors of The history of the club. If the statue has been agreed to be positioned elsewhere either a second statue or other gesture should be made to remember these Albion Legends.
