I'm a white, gainfully employed resident of the neighborhood where the Coltrane Church is located, and consider it an important cultural landmark not just for me, but the for the African-American community in the neighborhood and across the nation. It's a significant piece of American cultural history and I PLEAD you to honor the subsidized rental rates to help keep this church in the community. Thank you!

What a historic and uniquely SF institution! How can Bd of Supes honor the Coltrane Church one day and allow rent to be doubled at the same time?? Preserving the culture and fostering such vibrant music should always be upheld, vs landlords looking to grab their share of this ridiculous real estate market. Please reconsider!

This is one more nail in the coffin for destroying the rich cultist heritage of this city. There is no place on the planet like the Coltrain Church, and furthermore, it should be recognized as historic land mark.

I visited the Church of John Coltrane in the late 90's. I came all the way from Canada, contributed to the economy of San Francisco, and supported African- American Cultural practices. I support the Coltrane Church remaining in the Fillmore.

I wish to preserve this venerable San Francisco institution, insuring the continuing tribute to a great African American artist, and saving the church dedicated to Coltrane's musical gifts in a Fillmore neighborhood that has already lost so much of this heritage. Save the Coltrane church!
