Ayanna Mann is a 17 year old senior in the top 5% of her class, president of drama club and representative for black student union. Ayanna was chosen by her fellow students as one of this years commencement speakers but this opportunity has been revoked as a result of her recent suspension due to her advocacy for her friends sexual assault case. She has a three day suspension which disallows her to participate in prom and today administration at West Aurora High School, decided to remove her as a commencement speaker. Ayanna has been an outstanding student and simply wanted justice for her friend, that the school has failed to bring.
