Will you speak up for a parent’s right to 684 hours with their child?

West Ada School District now requires full-day kindergarten and has discreetly discontinued their half-day kindergarten option.  There are parents who want half-day kindergarten, and children who would benefit from it, yet West Ada removed this standard Idaho educational practice without issuing a survey or even publicly announcing it.  

West Ada's only recourse for parents is an allowance to personally remove your child from school around 1pm each day.  Principals have been instructed not to advertise this option, and it offers no bussing.  

The current legislation was created to extend parent choice and freedom by offering full day kindergarten to all.  Isn’t the decision of the West Ada school district to no longer offer half-day kindergarten in direct contradiction to the very essence of that law?  Please sign to tell West Ada that you believe half-day kindergarten should be offered.
