I have a daughter who lives on campus. If this ever, ever happene to here I would want her to feel supported. More importantly, I want her to be/feel safe.

It is despicable that Wesleyan, like other schools, cares more for its image than its students, and punishes and silences rape survivors while letting rapists go free. Everyone involved in the case is complicit in Rape culture. not offering treatment because it's a Sunday? or even a ride to the hospital? It's unacceptable and you know better...

I agree that an audit is the bare minimum the administration should commit to. In fact, they should commit to an immediate change in policy and how policy is enforced, including admissions policies which aim to turn the campus more conservative (and less activist), and thus contribute to this sexist, pro-rape culture. Anyone who hasn't entirely lost their humanity should stand with the survivors, and stop prioritizing their careers over basic decency.

It is horrifying that the administration would not be more supportive during cases of rape and assault. Futhermore, I can respect or support an institution that is no longer need blind. Everyone should have equal access to a great education, regardless of their background.

I went to Wesleyan and know that it's not as safe a place as people would like to think, which is a fact that should be brought to light.

As an alum, I'm appalled by Wesleyan's ongoing mishandling of sexual assault. This was happening while I was on campus, and it continues to happen--Wesleyan, you can do better.
