Stop annexation and development of Gilbert Road

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!

Developers are working to annex two pieces of land equaling 75+/- acres located on Gilbert Road into the city of Aberdeen. They are proposing the building of 56 Villas, 322 Apartments, 28 town homes, 49 single family homes, and a pool. If allowed to build, this will increase traffic in the general area, potentially change school zoning, increase taxes, put a strain on resources like police, fire, etc., and also lower current property values.
We need the voice of city residents to help us stop this process. We fear that if the developers are allowed to move forward this will bring a variety of people into  this area. There are concerns about safety, theft, the affects on the roads and water drainage. As this could cause more flooding in our area at times of excessive rainfall.

Many of the residents on Gilbert Road either garden or farm our own produce. This will greatly affect these activities. Please help us in stopping the over development of this area. Lets create the demand for this area by not oversupplying.
