My son is 5 years old and being assessed for a learning disability, I have found through other people about trying makaton when praising and telling him off. I have found that he responds better to makaton and think that schools need to learn this to help those who are physically and mentally disabled (autism and deaf to name a few) to communicate with their friends and teachers.
