Local Authorities must enforce theAnimal Act 1971 to stop roaming sheep etc
Fed up of sheep roaming the valleys then please sign this petition.
This year has seen higher numbers of sheep wandering around our villages being a nuisance, damaging residents property and urinating in our public parks and streets. They are a hazard on our roads for both drivers and pedestrians alike.
Residents all over Wales have complained to their local Authorities and police but have been ineffective in resolving the problem. In most instances blaming the farmers for poorly maintained fencing.
Did you know that there is a legal framework for our Councils to make the farmers more accountable?
The Animal Act of 1971 details the powers that are available to capture the sheep and charge back the cost to the farmer’s responsible.
Please join me by signing this petition. Let’s make our Councils more accountable for enforcing this law.
