I would like to implement 25% of extra time to ALL AS Assessments taking place in 2021 and 2022. This is because of COVID 19, Many schools and colleges have been put to a situation where they had to use Laptops and Computers for learning on campus and remotely. Having an extra 25% of extra time would be beneficial towards all students sitting their AS assessments which will impact their grade. This can change a lot and bring fairness and equality to those who were forced to stay home and learn remotely, Covid 19 has caused a lot of problems to the education system and has caused a lot of unfair decisions which impacted the majority of students who will be sitting some form of assessments to decide upon their Grade. The latest WJEC announcement was that "we have not streamlined A2 Assessments, The examinations will retain their usual structure and duration" This is a controversy towards the latest announcement by the English Government and their possibility of having some sort of material to help them in Examinations because of COVID 19. They are much more understanding of the pandemic and we should have a change in Wales which will show some sympathy towards students who were impacted by Covid 19.
