For years the Market in Aberdare or more so The Webbs who own the grounds have protested against businesses and fairs opening that they feel jeopardise or threaten their existence. The truth is they will not allow competition or infant new business or temporary markets on private ground to open within 2 miles of its grounds.
This act was made in 1880 and is no longer fit for purpose. Its about time this act is abolished to ensure the survival of small towns and new businesses within its boundaries.
