Eradicate Offensive Native Mascots-Wells Area Schools Warrior Mascot.

On Wednesday January 17, 2018, in a closed meeting, members of the Maine Indigenous Peoples Panel have been invited to present their concerns to the Wells Mascot Advisory Committee over the use of their offensive Warriors Mascot, the offensive behaviors associated with it and the damaging effects it inflicts on Indigenous People. This petition will be part of my presentation, highlighting the support of people everywhere, especially the Indigenous people from coast to coast.
This story has not only gained support locally, it has spread like wildfire reaching people, tribes and bands as far as the west coast, Canada and Alaska.
Please sign this petition in support of our efforts to eradicate the dehumanizing and racially insensitive Indian Mascots and the behaviors associated with them.
