I agree that Wellington should be a pedestrian street.

I would support Wellington and Sparks forming one big pedestrian loop. I think turning Wellington into a pedestrian street could bring more foot traffic to Sparks.

What a great idea! That makes a lot more sense than the way it is now!!

"Sparks Street is ugly and ahistorical. It means little. It would be perfect for cars. Wellington, by contrast (and what a contrast), has everything visitors would want to see. We should put pedestrians in this lovely space and stick cars in the ugly bit. At least between the Supreme Court and the Château Laurier." Words from Brigitte Pellerin in the Citizen perfectly explain how a Wellington pedestrian mall would be a much better solution than yet another redesign of Sparks Street.

DC is beautifully laid out for tourists and prideful Americans, and we should start thinking about Ottawa in a similar way.

I believe in Canada, it's history and its institutions. A great capital unifies the country. The Wellington National Mall will be a place of pride and gathering for Canadians.
