We as humans have a duty to look after and care for our earth, the land, the water, the air. Papatuanuku is listening. Let's ensure we are rightful guardians - to manage and not pollute the water and the land, reduce our waste.
The WCC prosposal is not adopting these principles in its Landfill proposal and the effects on the environment.

Extending the landfill for another 25 years is enabling the laziest and cheapest option for the council and our city. But it's only the cheapest because the true cost to the environment and the people are not included. If we allow a 25 year extension approval then where is the incentive to work on a better solution? We have to find an alternative and stop burying Wellington's poo in the landfill.
