Why this petition matters

Started by Tiffon Moore

‼️‼️Are you truly willing to make a change? What exactly is independence? What is freedom? What is equality? How do we obtain these 3 key qualities of life if we are constantly reminded of an era filled with hate, terror, torture, and genocide? How do we overcome the turmoil and loss of life our communities and people have suffered for centuries?

Today, we begin that process. The Black Empowerment Organization of Philadelphia, MS is calling for the removal of the Confederate Statue which stands in front of the Neshoba County Courthouse. This confederate monument is a reminder of not only the hundreds of years of slavery black people endured, but it is a constant reminder of the post Civil War Era, the Jim Crow Era, the bloody Civil Rights Era, in which it all has lead us to today. We believe this monument should be placed in a historic museum, but NOT in our City, NOT in our county, and NOT in a place in which we call home!

Join us now in signing this petition! We are fearless. We are powerful. We are the Black Empowerment Organization, and change is upon us. To sign, please email your Name, Address, and Phone number to Malek Moore Malek.moore15@gmail.com and also myself Tiffonbmoore@gmail.com

Stand for your community! Stand for your People! Stand for yourself! Together, we will achieve this monumental historic move‼️‼️

There is no Independence until we’re all truly free!
