Being a commique issued by a coalition  of interested Isoko Youth Groups from drawn from the 9 clans of the Isoko Nation and Disaspora Isoko  communities spanning Bayelsa  State and other regions of Nigeria. 

1. Whereas, on September  25th, 2022, our foremost Isoko Youth Group, Isoko Nation Youth Council (INYC) addressed a petition to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Group Managing Director (GMD) NNPC Limited, Mr. Mele Kyari accusing the Group  Executive Director/COO Upstream and The Minister of  State For Petroleum  Resources Chief Timipre Sylva, on Grounds of MAGINALISATION, NEPOTISM, ABUSE OF OFFICE, INSTITUTIONAL CORRUPTION AND HIGH HANDEDNESS Against The Isoko  Region  in Niger Delta In The Award Of Pipeline Surveillance Contract In The Niger Delta Region.
2. Whereas, the Isoko Ethnic Nationality is known to be very peaceful in comparison  To other Tribes  within the Niger Delta Region  and that attribute  has been taken as a sign of weakness  even though  it is an established fact that the first ever economic liberation movement of Niger Delta was led by an Isokobman Barr. Fred Obe 
3. Whereas;  It is also a well-established fact that 28% of the entire oil Resources  in Nigeria runs through  the pipelines planted on Isoko land and it is our perspective that isoko youths should be treated as critical stakeholders in the 'Nigerian Question ' since there has been no history  of criminal interruption of the crude flow in the region 
4. That sometime in August 2022 a contract for the surveillance  of oil pipeline in the entire region was awarded to one Mr. Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) an Ijaw from Okorenkoko in Niger Delta,  without  recourse to any Isoko representative,body or Council. 
5. Whereas; Sometime in June 2022, the Group Executive Director/COO NNPC Limited UPSTREAM MR. ADOKIYE TOMBOMIEYE told the Isoko National Youth Council President (INYC) Mr. Mathew Edugbo im his office at the NNPC Towers in  Abuja to submit a comprehensive proposal as regards the said surveillance contract which he did with a promise that the one of the Isoko Nation will be giving to the group.

We are therefor calling on the general public to help us spread this injustice being melted on the Isoko people to prevail on the federal government of Nigeria to do the right thing. 

If this petition get its desired result it will help in providing employment opportunities for the youths in isoko thereby reducing Youth restiveness, curb cultism activities, and other social  vices.
