Many people argue that plastic should be banned but, I think that we should keep using plastic. Many people way think that plastic is bad and it is always will be bad but surprisingly there also a good side to plastic. I will be telling you why plastic shouldn't ban and this is because It's great for transportation, It produces jobs, and it is helpful for the environment.

My first reason is because it's great for transportation. If you go out shopping for food at the market you will see them inside plastic. This is because you don't need a bag to take the food and can just hold it until you get to your home. This can be really useful which can save lots of fuel because using the discarded material as a feedstock to create a ultra-low sulfur diesel.

My second reason is because, It produces jobs. Right now in California more than 2,000 jobs are under threat because people are voting yes on SB 270(Banning single-use plastic grocery bags). Factories will shut down and thousands of people will need to get a replaced job. But, we don't know when they will get the replaced job because it might take weeks or even months. This can affect the economy with bad results.

My last reason is because, It is helpful for the environment. This is because if we ban plastic we would probably use paper or cotton or others. It is proven that paper bags do x125 more water usage than plastic bags. Paper bags and cotton bags also do more greenhouse gas than plastic bags. This can hurt the environment and cause bad effects.

In conclusion, I think that banning plastic isn't a great idea. I think this because if we ban them there with also be lots of bad side effects we weren't expecting.
