I am requesting the Council Of Sikh Gurdwaras in Birmingham and Sandwell Council of Sikh Gurdwaras to hold a public briefing (at the earliest) into the reasons why the annual Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan and event in Handsworth park has been cancelled.

The sangat requires transparency. We want to allow the current administration and previous volunteers to bring clarity on ongoing financial concerns being raised by sangat and to dispel any doubts regarding mismanagement.

This is an annual community event, one that the whole community especially the elderly look forward to. 

We feel the sangat can solve any problem if they are given the information and opportunity. 

The event must continue in 2023, we need to find solutions and resolve ongoing concerns.
