Hunter Navage started this petition to We need to stop using the A-F system of grading for schools in distance learning

We are striving to stop schools from still using the A-F grading system for students in distance learning, most students using distance learning develop anxiety, depression, and mental trauma due to learning online. 93% of students in the first term of school ended the school semester with at least one F on there report card. Adults are experiencing this as well at work and even in there home life, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone to find that young people are experiencing the same thing. Schools k-12 should have a year in distance learning where there will be no grade system. students will still attend online classes, just no grades will be administered. Homework and certain assignments will be administered but the grading of homework or assignments will not happen. Doing this will not only help fight depression among teens and children but also reduce stress and loneliness among students. Certain mandatory tests will still be administered including ACT, SAT, etc... but no other work than this will be graded. Whether or not a student passes a class will be determined off of attendance to online classes including zoom, google meet, etc we hope you stick with us in ending grades in distance learning
