During this pandemic many people have lost their jobs and been forced to collect CERB. Clearly though, the ones  truly at a disadvantage during this time have been the disabled and the seniors. Of course on top of that, our healthcare system is in dire need of funding as it is at its breaking point. There are people who are becoming homeless daily because the housing situation is abhorrent and people can't afford to live, period. We would like to propose a solution. Instead of our government employees getting a pay raise, let's propose them to get a pay cut. They work for all of us and their pay is truly excessive. We need to take a good hard look at the salaries of these overpaid career politicians. There needs to be a pay scale that is sensible. Why should a politician be paid more than a nurse? Or a doctor? Who allows these people such power? We do. We need to take the power from them. We are paying these people far too much money for doing far too little to help us. They speak about our economy but want pay raises for themselves. They cut everything we citizens need in order to give favours to the corporations that put them in power. Let's do something to help the citizens for a change. It is a new year. Let's do this NOW!
