New Jersey needs to adopt Erin's Law to protect children
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
Erin's Law, founded by Erin Merryn who is herself a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, requires public schools to educate its children about this critical and sensitive topic. Children from pre-k through grade 12 receive age-appropriate information on understanding the difference between good touches and bad touches and what to do if someone has hurt them. When children are taught that it is NOT ok for someone to touch them that way, that they do NOT have to keep that ugly secret, and that they will NOT be in trouble (all things that abusers may tell them are true), they may seek the intervention they so desperately need.
Please add your name and SHARE this petition so that our legislators will know that New Jersey needs this. 35 other states have already signed this into law and though it has already been introduced here, it has not been signed. What is New Jersey waiting for?
