We have a horrible problem at Lakeridge Jr. High. Mr Meeks is one of the most uncompassionate and rude people I have ever met. This is a big problem because I think that the things he is teaching are really cool and could be a lot more fun if he was not the teacher. He constantly yells at students and publicly humiliates them in front of their peers. He constantly blows up small issues to make them sound like a bigger problem than they actually are. For Example, a student hammered a scratch awl into the work table. This is a stupid thing to do and I am not saying he should have done it even though it made a tiny hole with a diameter with maybe 3 mm, however when Mr Meeks saw the student doing this he felt the need to yell and humiliate the student in front of everyone.  He took pictures of him and made him pose and was being very sarcastic and rude even though the student was showing complete respect and not talking back. Mr Meeks then made examples like if your mom would let you do that at home, but that argument is completely irrelevant because that table already had probably hundreds of other little holes the same size or bigger in it already. Another example is, if you miss a day of work due to sickness or a mandatory purpose and you did a worksheet in class that day, even if you do the work and make it up even if it is on the same day after the school day with the absence then he only gives you 80 percent credit even if you did everything right. This personally caused me to not get an A even though I had done all of the assignments and got “full credit” on them. These are just a few examples of how Mr Meeks makes Lakeridge Jr High a worse school and not a better school. I think the only solution to this is either to fire him or to have a significant change in his teaching methods because literally every student that I’ve talked to has said that they want him fired and that they don’t like him as a teacher.
