Our dresscode at South Warren Middle and High School is unfair, and sexist. Having a stomach, shoulders, legs, and boobs is a natural thing, and our dress code promotes the fact that these are all sexual body parts. We are supporting rape culture by telling girls that it is their faults boys get distracted by our bodies. 

Real classroom distractions include

•people talking loudly

•phones ringing

•uncontrolable laughter

•getting up and walking around without permission 

•music outside of earbuds

•WALKING INTO THE CLASSROOM AND GROUPS OF PEOPLE SAYING DRESSCODE

•BEING SENT OUT OF CLASS TO CHANGE CLOTHES THAT ARE MORE DISTRACTING TO TEACHERS THAN ANYONE ELSE

Ther are 12 year olds next door are being told that their stomachs and legs are distracting to other 12 year olds. This is absolutely disgusting. Help stop the spread that of sexism and rape culture in our schools. The dress code is the real distraction.

We will be wearing crop tops Monday, September 13 that say "if my stomach distracts you, thats a you problem."
