Our government in Iowa has taken so many resources away for behavioral help or mental health for our youth! I am one parent who is fed up with lack of resources. 

Me and my husband have a teenager who needs help now more than ever, and we are at a dead end. I have called the police for help when my daughter refused to come home and the response was " well as parents we have to do more than rely on youth shelters." We have literally done everything in our power that we can do, but there is nothing we can do. We are waiting for inpatient treatment but with all of the facilities that have shut down the waiting lists for anywhere are 10 weeks out. 

 The statistics on Iowa's mental health are scarry! There is no where for this kids to go to get the help that they need, because of the amount of money that has been taken away from it!!!

 If we don't speak u for these kids who will? My hopes with this is the our governor will see it, and know how many people have kids, grandkids, neice's, nephews ext.. that need help and can't get it. 

As parents our hands are tied, and I'm tired. This battle shouldn't be so hard. These kids are out future, and it's looking kind of scarry right now if these kids cannot get the help that they need! Please sign this for me, and know that if your are going through this too you are not alone!
