East Kent: We Must Have More GPs
Doctors & NHS Staff are not to blame

The ability to get a GP appointment in east Kent has been getting worse for years - and it’s not just down to Covid - the problem started much earlier! Large numbers of people report major difficulties in getting an appointment. This is a national crisis - and areas of East Kent are amongst the worst affected.

We urgently call for:

• The RIGHT for all to see a GP within a reasonable time

• FULL TRANSPARENCY regarding the scale of the crisis in east Kent

• MEANINGFUL INCENTIVES offered to attract GPs to east Kent

• EQUAL ACCESS TO NHS care for all, which is both timely and safe

• IMPROVED PATIENT VOICE and involvement

Years of underinvestment in staff, poor treatment of NHS workers and the drive to privatise services has led to this crisis. Government and NHS bosses must act now.
