It is absolutely the right thing to do! People need reassurance that those handling their mobility devices have been trained and are following policy and procedure.

People with disabilities deserve to be able to travel without fear that the devices they depend upon for mobility and independence will be damaged. When a wheelchair is damaged, a disabled person's freedom to go where they need or wish to go may be hampered for many weeks or even months until an appropriate replacement can be secured.

My wheelchair has been stolen twice on my travels. I'm terrified to fly even though I have to do it for my job.

I'm in a w/c and want to travel, knowing my w/c is safely stored, and will be waiting for me when I get off the plane.
