Currently, Mobile home owners have no protection when they are evicted from their homes.
We own the home but pay lot rent on the land. When a person gets evicted from their mobile home, they could lose ownership of the home.
What we need is a Mobile Home Protection Act that will mandate that when a person is evicted from their mobile home, the landlord must pay the owner the full assessment of the home minus the cost that you owe on the rent.
Mobile homes are not the same as owning a home. When you buy a home, you own the home and the land. Mobile home owners own the home but not the land.
We own our home but have to pay rent on the land. If the landlord forces us our home because of rent, they should not be able to claim the home as their own.
They should have to pay us the full assessment of the home with the rent minus the cost that you owe on the rent.
