“We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents.”  -Robert Norman Ross

There is no shortage of suffering and pain in this world.  If a person is able is uncover hidden passion and talent, even just enough to shed a single ray of beauty onto this cold deteriorating stone we inhabit, then that person deserves to be immortalized.  However, there have been countless people who have performed this feat in their lifetimes, many of whom go unnoticed and ultimately forgotten.  What could bolster a person from enlightened normalcy into the realm of American Hero?

Robert Norman (Bob) Ross was a true American Hero.  Never before, in the history of this great country, has any single person embodied more of the American Spirit as the late great Bob Ross. Wholesomeness, patriotism, moral character, caring nature, warming personality, raw talent, unadulterated skill, etc.  The list of what Bob Ross was, is endless.  He, single handedly, shaped the view of an entire generation of Americans.  The world grew noticeably darker on July 4th, 1995: the day Robert Norman Ross passed.  Like some many other great American Heros, Bob Ross expired on the anniversary of the birth of our country.  And our country is in chaos.

Hate, racism, political division, economic disparity, militerized opinions, and so many other negatives plagues American culture.  We have devolved from the nation of dreams into the nation of the "dislike button".  It is so hard to visualize anything in America's future worth dreaming.  The people of America need to renew the American Dream.  We need something to strive towards, something to bring us together.

We must reintroduce the life of Bob Ross back into the foreground of American culture!  We must hope that even a sliver of his character can spread through our nation and penetrate our cold hearts.  We must immortalize this American Hero, and spread the legacy he represented.

“The secret to doing anything is believing that you can do it. Anything that you believe you can do strong enough, you can do. Anything. As long as you believe.” -Robert Norman Ross

“Believe that you can do it cause you can do it.” -Robert Norman Ross

We can still change our world for the better.  We simply need to readjust our mindsets.  Follow in the foot steps (and attitude) of one American Hero.

“All you need to paint is a few tools, a little instruction, and a vision in your mind.” -Robert Norman Ross
