Given the recent "C" grade awarded to Bear Lake Elementary School in the SCPS School Grade Summary (a drop from the "B" grade in 2018 and 2019), we are demanding change.  Our children deserve our collective effort to ensure we are providing them with the best resources, education and opportunity available.

Communication from Principal Ramkissoon and other leadership within the school has been sparse and perfunctory. Action even less so.  The silence and inactivity is not what we expect from our children, and it should not be what we accept from the Administration.

Here is exactly what we are asking of Principal Ramkissoon, Superintendent Beamon, the Seminole County School Board, and Bear Lake Elementary School as a whole:

1. Schedule a meeting or townhall to explain the specific drop in 2021 results and answer questions

2. Present a plan of action to address identified issues in the coming school year

3. Identify where BLES needs help and how the community can step in and assist

4. Engage with the community in an effective manner
