This has been overlooked for far too long and by enforcing more sustainable and toxic free growing practices as well as regulating imports on flowers we can protect the health of our planet, individuals involved in the floral industry , and average citizens who bring flowers into their homes on a regular basis . The risks associated with the current practices within the floral industry are far too dangerous to ignore , not just for the of sake protecting florists and other workers in the industry, but because of the environmental harm that we can no longer afford to tolerate -  this is an issue that impacts every single one of us living on this planet. 

As someone who works with flowers on a daily basis and wants to preserve the health of our planet for future generations, I demand change . As mentioned in the article above “There is absolutely no limit to the amount of pesticides sprayed on cut flowers imported into the U.S.” and this is completely unacceptable. Please help make some noise around this important issue .
