As mainly the 2019 Mamelodi Floods Victims who were relocated since 13-07-2020 to a remote area called Mooiplaats in the Pretoria East after the 2019 floods that hit Mamelodi on the 09-12-2019, we are calling upon our Government to provide basic services to our community. Since our relocation in 2020, the City only provides water in water tanks, bucket system for sanitation and no electricity at all. Our community is made of 2019 Flood Victims and other groupings from different communities. We are to date sitting at 804 households.

We would to be considered in IDP (Intergrated Development Plan) Budget for 2022-2026. In April 2022, there were City wide public consultations where the consent community made requests to a proposed City budget for 2022-2026 period. Note that in the above-mentioned budget, there is nowhere our community is featured for service delivery development thereof in terms of service delivery projections, however during 2021 local government elections political parties recognized our community when they campaiged. 

We are humbly requesting to be taken into cognisance and be provided the basic services such as Electricity, Water & Sanitation and Roads in the order of preference.
