We call on Rochester City Councilmember Jose Peo to immediately resign from his position.

The explicit and dehumanizing conversation that Mr. Peo encouraged and participated in during his podcast on June 15, 2022 is the latest in his history of unacceptable comments.  We will not be complicit with degrading, sexist, or racist rhetoric in the public sphere, and we expect our elected representatives to adhere to a standard of basic civility.
