Greetings Everyone! I’d just like to bring your attention towards the saddening state of affairs in our country. While the rich and priviledged are drunk in power, the innocent poor of our country are being blamed for flocking liquor shops to feed their dependences. Yet, no one looks at the other side of their lives. Most casual labourers and factory workers have lost their livelihoods and are living off of infrequent food distributions by some NGOs and people. This is where the hypocrisy of our system lies. Celebrities and rich businesses were quick to donate to the PM CARES fund, but neither is anyone questioning the enormous amount of money they’ve collected, nor is anyone actually down to helping those in need. In this, there’s a few questions that need to be asked.
Why to shower flowers on medical workers when most don’t have proper equipment?
Why charge the poor and unpriviledged for railway tickets?
Why isn’t there a comprehensive national plan to feed the poor?
Why aren’t old relief funds being used first?
Has the government really run out of money now?
It is incredible how the PM has the capacity to bring together an entire country for pointless PR acts. It is time the leadership made us come together to serve, instead of celebrate. This isn’t to offend anyone, just a reaffirmation for all of us to keep questioning and remain compassionate towards the less fortunate.
