Let Syd pet dat dog

Let Syd pet dat dog
Why this petition matters
Sadly due to the increased global concerns of COVID-19, Canmore resident, Sydney McIntyre has been forced to seek refuge with family members in Nanaimo, BC, where she will quarantined in the cold, wet basement of her sister's home for 2 weeks. This action is to oblige with the healthcare practices related to COVID-19. With this, her evil sister has banished her from petting their dogs while she is dwelling, isolated in their basement, due to cross-contamination.
COVID-19 has swept the globe over the last several months, resulting in illness and death in many cases. During such dark times, don't we all need a loving, furry companion to bring us some light? Beyond the international pandemic at large, Syd has recently suffered the loss of her beloved beta fish, Missy Elliot, who was flushed tragically on April 1st. Now, more than ever, Syd needs a heckin' fren to snoogle.
"At this time, there is no evidence that companion animals, including pets, can spread COVID-19 or that they might be the source of infection." - Centre for Disease Control
This is a matter of not only animal well-being, but a human rights issue.
Together, along with the facts, we can help Syd pet dat dog.
