Speaking in relation to the £20 cut to Universal Credit, Cllr Fitzgerald, said local families should look at “how many children they have”.
This is an INSULT to those people who ARE working or are justifiably unable to do so!
- The governments own figures show that 40% of claimants are already working!
- The number of people claiming Universal Credit in Peterborough, is now believed to be well over 27,000, a rise of 98% since March 2020!
- Lest we forget, a couple of years ago, Cllr Fitzgerald voted himself a pay rise of 25%!
