This past week the Philadelphia police have committed countless acts of aggression against peaceful protesters, protected white vigilante groups, and stood idly by during racist attacks on protesters and Black residents of our city.

Despite an already huge budget, and a proposed increase of $19 million in funding by Mayor Kenney, the Philadelphia Police Foundation still continues to raise money from corporate sponsors that they use to buy weapons, riot gear, and surveillance technology that is actively being used to suppress peaceful demonstrations.

Wawa, a convenience store chain beloved by the Philadelphia community, released a statement on their website saying they are "committed to supporting the communities they serve." - however this statement is meaningless as long as they are currently funding the institution that tolerates racism and actively suppresses the message of the #BlackLivesMatter movement. 

Tell Wawa we will not tolerate this, and demand they stand with the their customers and community by stopping funding the to this oppressive institution immediately.
